One of the most prized tools in the aroma therapist's
chest is the simple Nebulizer These useful and ingenious designs
operate with an almost science like precision that we should give
gratuitous thanks for. The best way to absorb the properties of a
plants oil is through direct inhalation and the Nebulizer is what
promises to deliver just that. This device literally "spits" out a
barely visible stream of atomized particles from the essential oils
of your choice. These particles are so small it appears to resemble
smoke when it billows out the chamber and produces and almost humid
effect in the room it rests in. This is why it comes recommended to
run your Nebulizer for no longer then 15-20 minutes within 300-700
square feet and about 30-60 minutes for any space exceeding 700
square feet. The basic operation works like this…. It is a
standard pump usually housed in a base, resembling a fish aquarium
pump and powered by a 110-volt electrical plug. Attached to the pump
is the glass cylinder or the Nebulizer, which houses the oil. Once
turned on the pump forces air into the oil, which has been poured
into the bottom of the glass cylinder and propels it through several
channels, twists, and intricate canals. Here is where the oil is
literally atomized. By being forced through the glass cylinder and
all its passages it has to forcefully bounce itself off the walls as
it goes through the numerous caverns in the glass. This breaks up
the drops of essential oil into pure atomized, particulate matter
and is then pushed into the air. Here the user directly breathes
in the dispersed oil and a fragrance will fill the room within
seconds! Safe, effective, quiet, and economical an aromatherapy
Nebulizer comes highly recommended for both home and office
environments.
